Dampers Built for Durability & Versatility
Part of our larger Torque Dampers collection, our cycle-tested barrel torque dampers are built for durability and reliability even in high-use situations and harsh environments.
Featuring stainless steel construction, these dampers will stand up to occasional water exposure, ambient temperature extremes of 32°F – 104°F (0°C – 40°C), and corrosive environments—all while maintaining consistent torque.
Our barrel dampers are suitable for use in residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and transportation environments, and are available in a variety of torque ratings, damper sizes, and dampening directions to suit your particular needs.
For other torque damper types, check out our Rotary Torque Dampers, Disk Torque Dampers, and Adjustable Vane Torque Dampers.
A History of Innovation Since 1930
Barrel torque dampers date back to the invention of soft-closing toilet seats by our Japanese parent company, Sugatsune Kogyo. This technology marked the beginning of smooth anti-slamming features on everyday products.
Today, features like our patented Lapcon™ barrel damper technology can be found on many premium products for use throughout the spaces in homes, businesses, and institutional settings.
